Karl-Heinz (49) has over 30 years of professional experience in the international freight forwarding business (sea, air, road, rail, projects, warehousing, and customs clearance). During the past few years Karl-Heinz built his own consulting practice in Johannesburg and effective January 2005 has joined adi Consult as Regional Representative for sub-Saharan Africa.

Karl-Heinz worked for 30 years with Kuehne + Nagel, including 10 years in South Africa during which he held various senior management positions. From 1999 until 2003 he was the Regional CEO for sub-Saharan Africa and a member of the Global Management Committee of Kuehne + Nagel International AG.

Born and raised in Bremen / Germany, Karl-Heinz started his career as an apprentice with Kuehne + Nagel in Bremen in 1972. His travels in Africa since 1980 covered 24 countries where he has maintained excellent contacts. Karl-Heinz spent most of his time in the seafreight sector but has acquired a solid knowledge in all other aspects of the international forwarding business during his career.
