JUERGEN JOHN

Prior to joining the adi Consult network, Juergen John held various executive
positions in the logistics industry. Most recently he served as the Chief
Executive Officer of DHL/Global Forwarding, formerly known as the
Intercontinental Business unit of the Danzas Group. From his home base in Basel,
Switzerland, he was responsible for operations worldwide, consisting of entities
in more than 150 countries, as well as the development of emerging markets in
Eastern Europe and South Asia. Furthermore he oversaw the professional
activities of 14,000 employees generating a turnover of 4.5 billion Euros.
A well respected veteran in the international logistics industry, Juergen has 35
years of experience managing the key strategic activities of multinational
corporations. He began his professional career in 1972 as Managing Partner of a
shipping agency in Germany. In 1985 he joined the Danzas Organization as Country
Manager in Saudi Arabia. From there the corporation sent him to Taiwan in 1987
to establish an operating unit and serve as its Country Manager. Four years
later he moved to Singapore in the capacity of Regional Manager for South East
Asia with responsibility to establish operating units in Thailand, Vietnam,
Cambodia, Malaysia, and Indonesia. Five years later Juergen was appointed Chief
Executive Officer of the entire Asia/Pacific region for the now merged Danzas
AEI organization with oversight of a work force of 4,000 employees and
management of a turnover of 1.2 billion Euros.
In 2003 Juergen retired from corporate life to pursue other professional interests.

- Developing strategies for finding and employing the best available personnel and overseeing their continued professional development
- Conducting periodic management audits in order to optimize human resources allocations
Born and raised in Germany, Juergen speaks German, English, and French
fluently. After graduating in Business Management in Germany, he continued
his professional education by studying the management of strategic
alliances, as well as mergers and acquisitions, at well known international
institutions of higher learning such as INSEAD in France and the Wharton
School of Business in the United States.

Ms. Liana Sun is a Korean born American with Chinese ethnicity. This
multinational heritage coupled with her strong business, communications, and
interpersonal skills helped Liana during various projects in Taiwan, Korea,
China, and the US where she handled marketing activities and negotiations
without language or cultural barriers.
A Graduate from the University of Southern California in 1999 with a degree of
Master of Business Administration with focus on International Business, Ms. Sun
has engaged heavily in international trade as well as logistics business
activities during the past several years.
Early in her career Liana ran her own trading company. From 2000 to 2005 Ms. Sun
was the Marketing Director for China President Logistics, Inc. where she was
tasked with marketing the company’s US$ 100 mil logistics facility in Southern
Taiwan. Later she served as a consultant to GEO Logistics (Taiwan Branch) where
she helped with market expansion plans and the exploration of JV opportunities.
As Marketing Director for Trust Logistics Corp. she helped promote Taiwan’s only
integrated logistics to the European market. Ms. Sun is also versed in the
development of SOPs, corporate strategy, and business planning. She is fluent in
English, Chinese (Mandarin), and Korean.
ANDREAS BECKER

Prior to joining the adi Consult China network, Andreas Becker spent most of his professional life with Schenker International (H. K.) Ltd., based in Hong Kong, and developed the company into a high performance organization in the Greater China region. Before his retirement from corporate life, Andreas’ last position at Schenker was Managing Director of Hong Kong/South China. He oversaw the professional activities of more than 1,000 employees generating a turnover in excess of HK$ 3 Billion. During Andreas’ tenure as Managing Director, he led the company through a substantial business growth which established the company as one of the most successful foreign logistics providers in the Greater China.
During his 30 plus years in the China business world, Andreas accumulated a wealth of market knowledge as well as the experience of establishing a broad business network in the region. After his retirement, Andreas co-founded the company Becker & Affiliates Limited and has recently assisted companies such as Fraport, Schiphol, and Hong Kong Land with turn-around projects e.g. Tradeport Logistics.
Andreas’ active memberships of many years in various associations include:

- Senat der Freien und Hansestadt Hamburg – Hamburg Ambassador since 2006
A native of Hamburg/Germany, Andreas is a multi-lingual and multi-cultural individual who is well-known, well-respected, and highly regarded as an “old China hand” within the logistics community.
