History
The company was founded by Klaus Geissler in Frankfurt in 2000. After Jochen
Smoktun joined Klaus, the company was transformed into a GmbH. Shortly
thereafter the US sister company which currently has four offices was formed by
Manfred Engst and Helmut Berchtold. In Germany additional offices were opened in
Bochum and Stuttgart. Further expansions were made in Canada and Chile.
Effective January 1st, 2005 Hans Willam joined adi Germany as a partner which
strengthened the company’s expertise and competencies particularly in regards to
global ocean freight. Hans Willam heads up the company’s Hamburg based office.
In 2005 the company expanded into the booming Asia Region by opening a
Representative Office in Bangkok headed by Elmar Lins as Partner. In early 2007
the adi Consult Greater China Management Holding was established in Hong Kong
with Juergen John and Liana Sun as Founding Shareholders and Managing Partners.
Together, the founding partners are driving the development of adi world wide.
Since its humble beginnings, the company has developed into the global leading
consulting and service provider to the International Transport and Logistics
Industry on all five continents.
In the meantime the adi Consult Group has established presences through sister
companies and offices in Germany, USA, Canada, Brazil, Chile, Czech Republic,
France, UK, Netherlands, Hong Kong, India, Italy, Russia, South Africa, South
Korea and Thailand. Expansions to the United Arab Emirates, Shanghai China are
to follow shortly.
Driven by the market demand for its excellent services the group has grown and
currently consists of 45 consultants who in part are partners in the company.
It is the group’s goal to be represented in all global key markets and to be the
most reliable and potent partner to the ever more consolidating and globalizing
Transport and Logistics Industry. To achieve this, adi Consult will continue to
attract and hand pick highly competent, Senior Industry Experts.
The group will expand and adjust its offerings according to the market demands.
